SHARPEVILLE.- Former Baroka FC striker Rethabile ‘Magiya’ Soso is eager to return to the top-flight football.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Soso said he still has so much to offer.

Soso played for Baroka FC in the PSL before the club was relegated to the lower division. This club was one of the giant killers in the PSL but ironically got relegated to a lower division in the 2022/2023 season. For now, Soso is playing in the third-division league with the hope that some PSL team might see him. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that he is still ambitious to return to the PSL but for now, his commitment is to help Perfect Academy to gain promotion to the ABC Motsepe League.

“I believe, I still have more years to play in PSL. Age is still on my side and I do not doubt that any team that will sign me won’t regret it. I still score goals like I did when I was playing top-flight football and I’m more experienced.”

Soso plans to help Perfect Academy win the league’s title and gain  promotion to the ABC Motsepe League. I do not doubt that we will be crowned the league champions at the end of the season. We have a great team and as things stand it looks like we are in the right direction,” said Sodo.

Soso is one of the leading goal scorers in the SAFA Sedibeng Hollywood Regional Men League this season. For the past seasons, he has been on top of his game scoring goals like they are out of fashion.
