SEBOKENG.– The Sebokeng police have launched an investigation following a business robbery at Pep Store in Convenience Centre, Zone 20, Sebokeng.
It is said that three armed suspects, wearing surgical masks and sunglasses, stormed the store on the morning of Wednesday, 19 March. The robbers, posed as workers before forcing a staff member to open the cash and cell phone safes. They made off with an undisclosed amount of money and a number of cellphones, but no cash was taken from the tills.
Fortunately, no one was harmed during the incident.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane, confirmed that a case of business robbery is under investigation.
“We urge community members who may have witnessed the incident or have any information to come forward. Their assistance could be crucial in tracking down the suspects,” said Mokhachane.
