Boys mentored in Sebokeng

"Our goal was to create a safe and supportive environment where the boys could openly discuss their thoughts, feelings, and aspirations.

SEBOKENG. – Boys Mentorship South Africa, in partnership with Sebokeng Youth and the Community Development Centre, hosted a boys’ seminar at the Zone 14 community hall in Sebokeng recently.

The seminar aimed to empower the boys with a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world. Through a series of engaging discussions, interactive activities, and inspiring talks, the participants explored five critical questions:

  1. Who am I?
  2. Where do I come from?
  3. Why am I here on earth?
  4. What can I do to succeed?
  5. Where am I going?

The facilitators used a combination of biblical teachings, real-life examples, and practical advice to guide the boys on their journey of self-discovery.

Mpumelelo Buthelezi, one of the organisers, said: “Our goal was to create a safe and supportive environment where the boys could openly discuss their thoughts, feelings, and aspirations. We wanted to help them develop a strong sense of identity, purpose, and direction. We believe that by empowering our young people, we can create a brighter future for our communities and our world. We’re committed to making a lasting impact, one boy at a time.”

Boys Mentorship South Africa is on a mission to empower one million boys in the next five years
