SEBOKENG.- The Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Executive Mayor Sipho Radebe has sent his, and the entire ELM management’s, condolences on the passing of Councillor Mapitso Molepo-Mashigo.

Molepo-Mashigo was a ward councillor in Emfuleni Ward 35, an area covering portions of various zones, such as Zones 10, 11, 12, and 13. She was also a member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) of ELM responsible for Human Settlements, serving in this portfolio from December 2022 to January 2025.

The ELM said that during her tenure, Molepo-Mashigo was committed to serving the community of Emfuleni.

“Cllr. Molepo was an embodiment of humility, selflessness, and a great passion for service. On behalf of the Mayoral Committee and Emfuleni Local Municipality, I wish to extend my heartfelt condolences to Cllr. Molepo’s family, friends, and the organisation that deployed her to Emfuleni Local Municipality, the African National Congress, and most importantly, to the residents of Ward 35.”
