Criminals bite the bullet

Charges range from attempted murder, possession of drugs, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and undocumented persons.

SEBOKENG.–  A weekend crime blitz by police led to the arrest of 39 suspects linked to various serious offences committed within the policing precinct.

The suspects were arrested during routine patrols and tracing operations conducted between Thursday and Sunday.

Nthabiseng Mokhachane, police spokesperson, said the charges range from attempted murder, possession of drugs, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, undocumented persons, common assault related to domestic violence, drunk driving, shoplifting, common robbery, contravention of an existing protection order, rape, theft and tempering with essential infrastructure.

All suspects will soon appear before the Sebokeng Magistrate’s Court.
