Tau Dia Rora demands action from ELM over sewer crisis

SEBOKENG.– Tau Dia Rora, a local cultural political party has expressed deep concern and outrage over what it said is the Emfuleni Local Municipality’s (ELM) continued failure to address the raw sewage flowing on Moshoeshoe Street, adjacent to the Zone 12, Post
office.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster, Tau Dia Rora’s spokesperson, Muntu ‘Stone’ Kama said that despite multiple reports, the sewage flow continues posing a serious health hazard if it remains unattended, endangering the lives and well-being of residents.

“The presence of untreated sewage in a public area is unacceptable and demonstrates a disturbing level of neglect from municipal leadership. This issue not only undermines public health, but also erodes community trust in local governance,” Kama said.

Tau Dia Rora demands the following:
· Immediate intervention to stop and clean up the raw sewage spill.
· Concrete steps from the Emfuleni Municipality to prevent such incidents in future.

“We will not stand by while our communities are subjected to such indignity and risk. Tau Dia Rora is steadfast in its mission to advocate for safe, clean, and dignified living conditions for all. The time for action is now. Emfuleni must act decisively to restore public health, environmental safety, and public confidence. Let’s work together to build a safer, healthier community.”
Led by its Chief in Command and Founder, Phehello Mollo, Tau Dia Rora is registered with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), and will be contesting the upcoming local elections.
