Sebokeng SAPS arrest 30 suspects
Police urge residents to play an active role in crime prevention by reporting criminal activity and participating in community patrol structures.
SEBOKENG.– A weekend crime blitz by Sebokeng Police led to the arrest of 30 suspects linked to various serious offenses.
The suspects were arrested during routine patrols and tracing operations conducted between last Thursday and Sunday.
Police spokesperson Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane said that the charges range from fraud, possession of drugs, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH), common assault related to domestic violence, drunk driving, shoplifting, common robbery, contravention of a protection order, and selling illicit cigarettes.
All suspects will soon appear before the Sebokeng Magistrate’s Court.
The Sebokeng Station Commander, Brigadier Thembekile Kubone, commended the officers for their commitment and would also like to thank members of the public who continue to provide valuable information anonymously.
