Softball showdown at Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre

“The day that we were all waiting for has finally arrived, and we expect exciting games from both male and female softball clubs."

SEBOKENG.- All roads lead to the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre in Zone 14, Sebokeng as the Family Day Softball Tournament, hosted by Jumpers Softball Club, is on display.

The tournament started today and will come to an end with the finals on Sunday afternoon.

The tournament was extended to play over two days due to demands from outside clubs, as far as Botswana.

Local softball clubs and outside clubs are competing for the top spot. Jumpers Softball Club is the red-hot favourite to win, taking into consideration that they are the hosting club.

Despite the chilly winter weather, the local community, families, and young and old are out in their numbers to enjoy the day. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Sammy Molefe said they want to make this year’s tournament a memorable one.

“The day that we were all waiting for has finally arrived, and we expect exciting games from both male and female softball clubs. It is a fun-filled tournament with a lot of fun on and off the field,” said Molefe.
