With advanced cameras that provide live information, Midvaal is strengthening its ability to detect and effectively combat crime faster.

MEYERTON – The Midvaal Local Municipality is expanding its crime-fighting network with the help of an advanced camera system.

Mayor Peter Teixeira recently announced that more so-called ‘Sniper cameras’ have been installed at important entry and exit routes in the area.

“These cameras help to detect and monitor criminal activities with real-time information. We are proud that we are working together to keep Midvaal safe.”

The new cameras support existing efforts by the community policing forum and local law enforcement to fight crime quickly and effectively.

Midvaal’s use of technology in crime prevention has previously been praised for its contribution to community safety.
