SASOLBURG – It’s all systems go for municipal by-elections in the Metsimaholo Local Municipality in the Free State, with the voting expected to take place tomorrow.

This follows the resignation of the ward councillor.

Political parties have been actively campaigning over the past few weeks, with key issues such as service delivery dominating the conversation.

The ANC’s George Tsotetsi, Henk Human for the DA, and Morné Pienaar for the Freedom Front Plus will contest the by-election.

Voting stations at Leeuwspruit Primary School in Sasolburg and Vaalpark Primary in Vaalpark will be open from 07:00 and will close at 21:00.

Election results are expected to be announced on Thursday.
