DA honours Mandela Day through service in Ward 35

"Together, we can build a society where dignity is restored, voices are heard, and opportunities are shared.”

SEBOKENG. – The Democratic Alliance (DA) proudly joined the residents of Ward 35 in commemorating the life and legacy of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela on Mandela Day last Friday.

DA’s Emfuleni Central Constituency Political Head, Daddy Mollo, said that in the spirit of Madiba’s unwavering commitment to justice and humanity, they came together not only to remember his legacy, but to live it out in action.

“Through the distribution of hot meals to our residents, we reaffirmed our belief that true leadership lies in service. This initiative was more than a gesture – it was a demonstration of our shared values: compassion, dignity, and community upliftment,” he said.

“Our commitment to good governance, transparency, and responsive leadership continues to drive our efforts in Ward 35. Today’s acts of kindness reflect our broader mission – to build communities that are inclusive, empowered, and hopeful. Let us all be reminded that even the smallest acts of service can spark great change. As we celebrate Mandela Day, we call on every resident to keep the spirit of Ubuntu alive: to serve, to care, and to stand together for a brighter future.”
