SHARPEVILLE.- If netball were a person, Dudu Msane would definitely be qualified to be called this sport.
Sedibeng Ster Sport continues to profile and acknowledge selfless women who have contributed significantly to their community. This is in line with Women’s Month celebrations. The veteran netball administrator Msane, is definitely one of the women who have contributed significantly to the development of netball in this country.

She is the pillar of the Sharpeville community, ensuring that young girls participate in netball.
Born in Soweto but relocated to Sharpeville, in Vaal, where she started her involvement in netball. She established a netball club called Avalon Netball Club. The club became one of the best netball teams in the region. Not only that, it came as no surprise when she became the Sedibeng Netball Association chairperson.
This was because of her passion and love for the sport.

No doubt, she has done it both as a player, coach, and administrator. She deserves flowers while still alive. Her contribution to netball won’t go unnoticed beyond her retirement from sports.
She was there when Sedibeng hosted the Netball World Cup trophy tour at Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre in Zone 14, Sebokeng, to witness this proud moment in the history of netball.
She was acknowledged for the role she played in the development of netball, not only in the Vaal but in South Africa.
She is still very involved in the development of netball in Vaal. She is always there whenever netball activities need help with administration, among other things. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Msane said women should be celebrated beyond Women’s Month for the role they play in the community, especially in the development of sports.
“Look, we shouldn’t only consider women when it is Women’s Month. In fact, we should acknowledge their role within the community every day. I’m still very active in netball to empower upcoming netball administrators. When I retire, I want to leave this sport in the right hands. I do not doubt that the current generation of administrators is doing exceptionally well to take netball to another level,” she said.
