SASOLBURG – A minibus taxi transporting learners from Leeuwspruit Primary and Noordskool Primary was involved in an accident this morning.

It appears that the driver lost control of the vehicle, and the minibus overturned. According to a source, the accident happened before the main traffic circle, with the minibus coming from the R57 into Sasolburg.

The accident occurred between 07:00 and 07:15. Teachers from both schools quickly arrived on the scene and reported that about 18 children were standing outside the minibus.

All the learners, as well as the driver, were taken to the nearest hospital. By 09:14, it was still unclear if anyone had been seriously injured. Parents were contacted, and staff from the respective schools were waiting at the hospital to support them.
