Kanye named MVP of the season

EVATON.- Evaton Warriors Basketball Club exciting point guard and forward Tshimologo Kanye (18) was named the 2025 St Eagles Basketball League Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the season.
Known for his consistency, he had an outstanding season, playing a key role in helping the Warriors clinch the 2025 league title.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Warriors coach Jappie Hlalele said Kanye deserved this award.
“He was the best player in the league, and this award reflects his overall performance throughout the season. I’m really proud of him because he is versatile and can switch positions based on the team’s tactical needs.”
Hlalele added that Kanya is a true team player who works hard and is always ready to adapt to the opposition. Kanye told Sedibeng Ster Sport that being named the Most Valuable Player of the season came as a surprise to him.
“There are so many great players in the league, even among my teammates. Basketball is a team sport, and I wouldn’t have achieved this without them,” he said.
In an interview with Sedibeng Ster Sport, he also gave credit to his coach, who played a big role in his development.
“He is always believing in me and pushing me hard at training. He reminds me that there is a great future ahead if I work hard.”
Kanye concluded by thanking his teammates and coach for their support, saying the MVP award belongs to the whole team.
