VEREENIGING.- The development teams all over Gauteng participated in the 2025 Good Luck Exams Tournament held at Dick Fourie Stadium over the weekend.
This tournament of its first kind hosted by JJ Sporting FC with the main purpose to wish the players good luck for their final exams.

The tournament was a great success with teams from Johannesburg, Midrand, Deneysville, Sebokeng, Vereeniging, and Sharpeville. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Tyrone Koller hailed the tournament as a great success. The tournament was divided into three categories, U11, U13 and U15 and played in the round robin format, with the two top teams in each group qualified for the knockout stages.

It was football galore throughout the day with these youngsters expressed their God-given talent.

The tournament played on Saturday and Sunday with the u13 final scheduled to take place this coming Friday at the same venue. Hotspurs FC were crowned the u11 Good Luck Exams Tournament champions while Next Generation Sporting FC crowned the tournament champions in the U15 category with JJJ Sporting FC became the runners-up.
The main objective of the tournament was wishing the players a good luck before they wrote their final exams. Koller was full if compliment to the participating teams for making this tournament a great success. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that he was stunned by the kind of football these youngsters displayed in expressing their talent.

“We want to thank everyone who honoured our invitation. As JJ Sporting FC take pride to these youngsters’ education hence, we hosted this tournament to dedicate it to them. I have no doubt next year it will be better and bigger,’ he concluded.
