‘Pitiki ya Basadi ba ANC’ held in Sebokeng

The Pitiki served as a celebration of women’s leadership within the ANC and society at large.

SEBOKENG.- The ANC Gauteng Provincial Task Team member, Nonceba Gcaleka-Mazibuko, joined the ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) Sedibeng Region for a special ‘Pitiki ya Basadi ba ANC’ held on October 25.

Pitiki ya Basadi is a traditional Sesotho women’s gathering (exclusively for women), or a modern theatrical production inspired by tradition. It is also a safe space for women to meet, share knowledge, and support each other.

The ANCWL Pitiki was held at the Saul Tsotetsi Sports Complex in Zone 14 under the theme: “Celebrating Women’s Leadership: Honouring the Legacy of Mama Albertina Sisulu and the Courage of Cancer Survivors.”

ANC Gauteng said that the Pitiki served as a celebration of women’s leadership within the ANC and society at large, paying tribute to the enduring legacy of Mama Albertina Sisulu, while also raising awareness about breast cancer and strengthening the bonds of unity, respect, and compassion among women.
