KHD Radio honours cancer survivors

The gathering honoured survivors, remembered those lost, and stood in solidarity with those still fighting cancer.

SEDIBENG.- In a heartfelt display of unity and compassion, local online radio KHD Radio marked Cancer Awareness Month with an inspiring annual event titled “Celebration of Strength” in Lakeside, Sebokeng recently.

The gathering honoured survivors, remembered those lost, and stood in solidarity with those still fighting cancer.

Under the leadership of CEO Sibusiso Ntsele, the event paid special tribute to Dr. Noluthando Motsoane, an iconic KHD presenter and chronic leukaemia survivor, as her courageous journey continues to inspire resilience within the community and beyond the airwaves. The programme featured deeply moving moments of reflection and empowerment, including a prayer walk, candlelight ceremony, and praise and worship, all symbolising strength, healing, and renewal.

Among the distinguished guests was Bishop Wami Nhlapho, a faith and business leader, who spoke passionately about perseverance in the face of adversity.

His brother, Dallas Nhlapho, a prominent entrepreneur, emphasised the importance of vision and integrity in leadership. Apostle Sinqobile Dube led the candlelight ceremony, touching the hearts of all in attendance with words of hope and restoration.

On the other hand, Bishop Emily Montsonyane encouraged attendees to pursue holistic wellness. At the same time, Mamorena Masweu, a faith leader and survivor, shared practical lessons on self-care, nutrition, and early testing — reminding everyone that maintaining health is both a physical and spiritual journey.

The event concluded with a powerful praise and worship session that filled the venue with gratitude and faith, closing a day defined by courage, compassion, and community spirit.
