SEDIBENG.- Sedibeng Netball Teams are ready for the Inter District Netball Tournament scheduled to take place in Ekurhuleni today (Saturday, November 8).
Sedibeng Netball Federation will use this tournament as part of the preparations for the Spa Netball National Championships. This national championship is from November 30 to December 6.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Sedibeng Netball’s team manager, Mpho Makgatha, said they will use this interdistrict tournament to prepare both teams, U21 and senior, for the upcoming championships.
Makatha said the coaches of both teams were hard at work throughout the week preparing for this tournament.
“I do not doubt that this tournament is going to help us see how ready we are for the national championships. As the Sedibeng Netball Federation, we really appreciate the commitment and effort of the players. There is no way we can question their commitment, and they never skip a training session. This tournament is going to give the coaches an idea of how far they are in terms of their preparations for the national championship. The good thing is that we still have enough time to prepare the teams for the national championships,” said Makgatha.
