JMedia restores hope at local school

Matric Camp Drive brings hope, resources, and inspiration to Pele Ya Pele learners.

LETHABO – The spirit of community and empowerment recently filled the grounds of Pele ya Pele Secondary School as JMedia joined hands with the school to host the 2025 Matric Camp Drive. The initiative was more than just an act of giving; it was a message of hope, discipline, and determination for the learners standing at the threshold of their future.

Pele Ya Pele Secondary School, based in the Free State, has been consistent with a 100% pass rate in the last five years in matric results. It is situated in the rural Lethabo area.

The purpose of the outreach was to support matric learners as they prepared for their final examinations and to remind them that true success begins with discipline and focus. Through the Matric Camp Drive, JMedia donated essential grocery packages to help ease some of the pressures that often accompany exam season.

The day was also about inspiration. Members of the JMedia team took time to speak with the learners, encouraging them to stay disciplined, to believe in their abilities, and to understand that education is a gateway to opportunity.

“We believe discipline is the foundation of success. When young people learn to stay focused and committed to their goals, there is no limit to what they can achieve. This initiative is our way of investing not only in their education but in their mindset.”

Adding to the excitement of the day, two new school billboards were installed, bright, bold symbols of growth and pride for Pele ya Pele Secondary School. These billboards now stand at the school’s entrance as a daily reminder to learners that their dreams are valid and achievable through hard work and perseverance.

The learners, teachers, and community members warmly welcomed the initiative, expressing gratitude for the generosity and motivation shared by the entire team. The event showcased the power of collaboration between educational institutions and corporate partners, proving that when communities and organisations work together, lasting change is possible.

As the day concluded, one message resonated clearly across the school grounds: discipline and determination open doors to success. Through initiatives like the Matric Camp Drive, JMedia continues to champion education and inspire the next generation of leaders, one learner at a time.
