R1 500 missing after woman killed in Zamdela

The family further alleged that the deceased's handbag, which contained R1 500 cash and her identity document, were missing.

ZAMDELA. – The Zamdela police detectives seek the public’s assistance in tracing suspects involved in the murder of a 65-year-old woman from Harry Gwala section, Zamdela.

On Friday, December 12, the Zamdela police attended a complaint of murder at Harry Gwala section.

Upon arrival, the members were pointed to the lifeless body of the 65-year-old woman lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds on the upper body, and she was declared dead by EMS.

It is said that the family members alleged that on the same day at about 07:00 they left the 65-year-old woman still sleeping, and when they returned home at about 15:00, they found her motionless in a pool of blood.

The family further alleged that the deceased’s handbag, which contained R1 500-00 cash and her identity document, were missing.

The police request anyone who might have any information about the murder to contact Zamdela Detectives Commander, Lt Colonel Sello Mokhele on 082 301 6199, Crime Stop on 08600 10111, or alternatively submit an anonymous tip-off via the MySAPS App.
