SEBOKENG.- Emfuleni Local Football Association (ELFA) wrapped the 2025 season in style.
ELFA hosted a successful Cham of Champs Play-Offs at Qetilizwe and Zone 3 Stadium recently.
These playoffs saw the winners of five ELFA streams pitted against each other to produce the overall winners.
The age categories that formed part of these play-offs were U13, U15, and U17.
It was a talent galore with these youngsters showcasing their God-given talent.
It was a great advertisement for development football in the Vaal, which is well known for producing exciting talent in South African football.
Relebohile Mofokeng (Orlando Pirates), Tshepang Moremi (Orlando Pirates), and Naledi Hlongwane (Kaizer Chiefs) are some of the exciting talents that come from this region.
The ELFA Head of Development, Master Zondo, hailed these play-offs as a huge success.
He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that this was the best way to end the year on a high note as the participating teams displayed a high standard of football.
Vaal Octopus FC were crowned the overall winners in the U13 division, while Vaal Garden Sports Academy were crowned the champions in both the U15 and U17 age groups.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Zondo said these play-offs went as planned, thanks to the league administrator Kelebogile Sehume.
“I want to take this opportunity to congratulate those teams that were crowned the champions.
Their hard work was rewarded. I also want to thank all the teams that made this league exciting. It was an exciting 2025 season and wrapped it in fine style,” said Zondo.
Zondo took this opportunity to wish all the teams, coaches, and managers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
