Mamabolo adressess ELM employees and service delivery challenges
" The MEC’s visit follows a commitment by both COGTA and the municipality to engage with personnel and address pressing issues affecting the organisational climate and most importantly, the ability to deliver services as expected."
SEDIBENG.- Gauteng Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA) MEC Jacob Mamabolo and Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) Executive Mayor, Sipho Radebe, this week, lead a crucial meeting to address workplace and service delivery challenges raised by personnel in the Imbizo held on May 30 this year.
The meeting, the municipality said, brought together Members of the Mayoral Committee (MMC’s), Executives Directors and COGTA Management for the high-priority discussion.

” The MEC’s visit follows a commitment by both COGTA and the municipality to engage with personnel and address pressing issues affecting the organisational climate and most importantly, the ability to deliver services as expected. The meeting underscores the municipality’s commitment to transparency and accountability. With the MEC Mamabolo providing oversight and guidance, the municipality is determined to address employee concerns and service delivery backlogs.”
Importantly, it is said, the MEC emphasised that all Gauteng municipalities must adopt an attitude of business unusual on provision of services and be uncompromising on ‘Batho Pele Principles’ in order to turn around service delivery backlogs across the Gauteng Province.
