VANDERBIJLPARK.- Jomo Cosmos and Dinoko City played to a 1-1 draw in the entertaining ABC Motsepe League match at Isak Steyl Stadium on Saturday.
This action-packed encounter kept local soccer fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

The visitors, Dinoko City, took control of the game, putting Cosmos’ defenders under all sorts of pressure. Cosmos began to dominate possession with some slick passing and fast-paced attacking play.
City made a forced substitution before half-time when one of their reliable players suffered what seemed to be a hamstring injury. Despite the setback, they managed to hold onto their slim lead as the teams headed into the break.
In the second half, City brought on local favourite Tshediso ‘Bashemane’ Tshehla.
The Boipatong-born star had an immediate impact, with the home crowd chanting his name and lifting the atmosphere in the stands.
For a long time, it looked like City would hold on for all three points. However, Cosmos refused to give up, “camping” in the opposition’s half during the closing stages. The persistence finally paid off when Cosmos broke the deadlock and found a late equaliser, to make it 1-1, much to the delight of their supporters.
The final five minutes were filled with tension, with both teams desperate to find a winner before the referee blew for full-time.
