MEC visits Sebokeng Hospital to assess condition of accident survivors

The Sebokeng Hospital received four learners and the driver of the minibus, while Kopanong Hospital received one child and one adult, who is the assistant to the truck driver involved in the accident.

SEBOKENG.- MEC for Health and Wellness, Nomantu NkomoNomantu visited Sebokeng Hospital today to assess the condition of survivors following the horrific learner transport accident that tragically claimed the lives of 13 learners outside Vanderbijlpark this morning.
Upon arrival at the hospital, the MEC is said to have received a full clinical update from the medical teams attending to the affected learners.
The Sebokeng Hospital received four learners and the driver of the minibus, while Kopanong Hospital received one child and one adult, who is the assistant to the truck driver involved in the accident.
TheĀ  Sedibeng District Health Services said that the MEC has conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased learners and while engaging with the families of those receiving care, assured the families of the injured that the survivors are receiving quality care in the hospitals.
