VEREENIGING – The Sedibeng District SAPS Commissioner, Major General Nkhensani Mukwevho, congratulated about 14 members of various police stations in the region for being promoted to new ranks.

The event, a post-promotions Phase 1 of the 2025/2026 congratulatory ceremony, was carried out at the Vereeniging Police Station on Thursday. Ceremony attendees included the district management and station commanders.

The event served to celebrate and acknowledge members who had garnered promotions, highlighting their dedication, professionalism, and service to SAPS.

Speaking to the members, Major General Mukwevho did not mince her words when she urged them to continue serving the community with the utmost integrity.

“Every one of you has been chosen by God, and you are deserving of this recognition. I urge all of you to go and study and become knowledgeable in the respective fields that you are being promoted into. You do not owe anyone a thank you but God. I am not saying that you must be arrogant.”

“Secondly, I urge you to change your attitude, as it determines how far you can go. Your attitude is your altitude, so if you want to further elevate yourself in this career, you must have the correct attitude.”

Mukwevho imparted advice about being prayerful, diligent, and being committed to serving and protecting with dignity.

The entire management in the district congratulated all the promoted members, wishing them success as they take on greater responsibilities in serving and protecting the communities of Sedibeng.
