Ezenkosi welcomes Rrr Rams FC in a top-of-the-table clash

For year Cosmos had a soft spot for Vaal, with Sono recruiting the most talented players from this region.

SEDIBENG.- Jomo Cosmos, otherwise known as Ezenkosi, welcome Rrr Rams FC to Isak Steyl Stadium on Saturday.

These two sides meet in a top-of-the-table clash in the ABC Motsepe League Gauteng Stream.

Kick-off time 15:00

Despite playing at home, it is not going to be an easy outing for Cosmos, as Rams FC comes into this encounter with one thing on their mind: winning.

The win will see them back in second spot on the log standing which is currently occupied by Young Pirates FC.

Rams FC is second on the log standings with 35 points, with a game in hand. This is one of the fixtures that local soccer fans will be looking forward to with lots at stake.

The home, Ezenkosi, are in 11th spot on the log after they drew 2-2 against Tembisa Hollywood Thunder FC away from home over the weekend.

However, the good news is that this game comes at a time when Cosmos looks like they are a team that has regained their confidence.

Sedibeng Ster Sport has been following Cosmos’ games, especially home games, and they had a rocky start at the beginning of the season.

For example, at one stage, they looked like relegation candidates languishing in 15th spot on the log standings.

However, the man who needs no introductions in South African football, Ephraim Matsilela ‘Jomo’ Son, has turned things around.

For year Cosmos had a soft spot for Vaal, with Sono recruiting the most talented players from this region.

The first players Sono signed from this region were former Bafana Bafana dreadlocked midfielder Augustine Makalakalane and Mabela ‘Love’ Monnakgotla.

These two were the first players from Vaal to make a name for themselves in Cosmos colours. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that Vaal is like his second home. He said this region is blessed with fine talent.
