New borehole project brings dignity and clean water to Ekujuleni
There will, from now on, be a reliable water supply system.
EVATON. – Basadi re Matla NN Construction & Projects, in partnership with the Rand Water Foundation, successfully completed and handed over a vital Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) infrastructure project at Ekujuleni Primary School last week.
Installation of 5,000 litres water storage tanks
The project involved the drilling and development of a borehole, installation of three 5,000-litre water storage tanks, and the integration of a pressure pump and water purification system to ensure a reliable and sustainable water supply for the school.

Completed ahead of schedule, the fully operational system meets SANS 241 water quality standards and is expected to significantly improve hygiene, reduce health risks, and enhance the overall learning environment for learners and educators.
The project aims to restore the dignity of the learners

“This project is about more than infrastructure, it’s about restoring dignity and creating an environment where learners can focus on their education without the daily challenge of water insecurity,” said Ntswaki Mavuso, Managing Director at Basadi Re Matla NN Construction & Projects.
“We are proud to be part of a solution that brings lasting impact to the community and supports the future of these young learners.”
