De Deur police visit Thulamtwana
"When the community and SAPS are united, crime has nowhere to run."
DE DEUR.- De Deur police under the command of Station Commander Colonel Zachariah Ranake, took decisive action last Wednesday.
Colonel Ranake, De Deur SAPS Management, SAPS officials, the Vereeniging Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit, and the De Deur Community Policing Forum descended upon Thulamtwana, Sector 3, to meet the community face-to-face and address crime head-on.

The police said that the community engagement is the backbone and an important component of policing. This is where intelligence is meticulously gathered, where SAPS reports back, and where the line is drawn between order and lawlessness in our precinct.
” We strongly urge every resident to attend these engagements. Silence protects criminals. Presence empowers police. This is how we reclaim our streets and break the back of criminality in Thulamtwana.”
The community responded in numbers. Approximately 150 residents stood up, showed up, and made their voices heard, refusing to capitulate to criminality.
“When the community and SAPS are united, crime has nowhere to run. We operate with #zerotolerance towards crime. We enforce safety. We protect communities.”
