The Committee expressed concern about the upgrading of the R82 road regarding the timelines for the completion of the project, according to the committee’s observations, there has been slow progress since the committee visited last year.
“The committee was pleased with the progress on the construction of the Sebokeng DLTC, which the Department of Roads and Transport reported is expected to be completed in December this year.”
Construction of the Vereeniging Taxi Rank was completed and the facility was officially opened by the MEC for the Department of Roads and Transport in March and the purpose of the site visit was for the committee to conduct a visual observation of the facility.
