SEDIBENG. – The National Khoisan Kingdom’s 10th Anniversary Celebration and Royal Ceremony, held at the Freedom Park Heritage Site in Pretoria, concluded successfully, bringing together traditional leaders, royal houses, cultural custodians, community representatives, and distinguished guests from across South Africa.

Vusi Mokone, who serves within the Abbaquar-San Royal House in Sasolburg, confirmed the success of the event.

Mokone said that the Abbaquar-San Royal House in the Free State, under the leadership of His Royal Majesty Paramount King Stuart Williams Kok and Queen Lerato Williams Kok, proudly participated in the historic occasion, reaffirming its commitment to preserving indigenous heritage, promoting cultural identity, and strengthening traditional leadership institutions.

“The event served as a platform for reflection on past achievements while inspiring a collective vision for the future.”

Held at the iconic Freedom Park Heritage Site, the anniversary celebrations featured cultural exhibitions, traditional ceremonies, heritage discussions, royal acknowledgements, and engagements focused on promoting Ubuntu and preserving the customs and traditions of indigenous peoples.

The gathering demonstrated the strength of unity amongst traditional communities and reinforced the importance of preserving cultural identity in a rapidly changing world.
