Mokonyane encourages local residents to register to vote

Residents were encouraged to register, verify their details, and ensure their voices are heard.

SEDIBENG. – Former Gauteng Premier and ANC First Deputy Secretary-General, Nomvula Mokonyane, alongside ANC Sedibeng Regional Chairperson, Mlungisi Hlongwane, engaged residents in Ward 17, Thabo Vuyo Voting District, Sebokeng, as part of the ANC’s voter registration campaign ahead of the 2026 Local Government Elections (LGE) on Saturday.

Residents were encouraged to register, verify their details, and ensure their voices are heard in shaping responsive and accountable local government.

Meanwhile, earlier that day, alongside ANC Gauteng Provincial Coordinator, Sochayile Khanyile, Mokonyane engaged with students at Amberfield Village Student Residence, linked to the Oliverlodge Voting District in Emfuleni, on the same ‘mission’.

The engagement focused on encouraging young people to register to vote, verify their registration details, and play an active role in shaping the future of their communities.
