VEREENIGING.- At approximately 09:00 on June 16, Fidelity ADT Vaal, together with SAPS and other security partners, received information regarding an abandoned trailer in Mooiland, Meyerton.

Response teams immediately mobilised and established that the trailer had been hijacked in Heidelberg along with a container carrying kitchenware and electronic goods.

During the incident, the truck driver had also been abducted.

Further investigations led officers to a truck linked to the hijacking, where two suspects were successfully apprehended.

 Later that day, additional intelligence resulted in an operation at a property in Mooiland, leading to the identification of another suspect connected to the case.

The kidnapped truck driver was located and found safe.
