SEDIBENG.- The Sedibeng Green Ambassadors Foundation in conjunction with the Sedibeng Environmental Graduates, Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) G20 and Community Environmental Stakeholders recently celebrated World Environmental Day in Evaton West.
The event was held under the theme: ‘Reduce to Zero Waste’.
The day was also made worthwhile by community members from wards 24,26,43,27 and 30. The organisers thanked the different departments of the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) such as Parks and Cemetery Department, for helping with services such as grass cutting.
They also conveyed their sincere thanks to, the Department of environmental Health, Petco Recycling Company and the Gauteng Department of environment.
Lerato ‘McBride’ Motsoeneng,Regional Coordinator, thanked all those who attended and reminded them to keep their environment clean.
