Boy kidnapped in Palmsprings

All the suspects are still at large.

SEDIBENG. – The Evaton police are investigating a case of kidnapping after a young boy was kidnapped in Palmsprings over the weekend.

Police spokesperson, Constable Thulisile Msibi, said that on Saturday, June 27, at about 19:45 a complainant alleges that she was at her residential premises, when she heard one of her granddaughters shouting, calling her, and she went outside to check what was going on and she saw her granddaughter running behind a white Toyota Quantum.

“She ran behind her until she reached to her and her other granddaughter was crying, rolling on the ground. Then the complainant (grandmother) asked her what’s wrong, she said to her they (the people in the quantum) took her elder brother, Bandile,” Msibi said.

The motive for the kidnapping is unknown.

“The suspects were three men, according to the complainant’s granddaughters, and one of the suspects was carrying a firearm on his hand. The motive behind the kidnapping is unknown as the kidnappers just took the child without saying anything to anyone and drove off in a White Toyota Quantum.”

The registration of the Quantum is unknown.

All the suspects are still at large.
