Suspect rapes and robs victim of R200

SEDIBENG.- Police in Tumahole, Parys, are appealing to members of the public for assistance in tracing a person of interest depicted in the identikit.
It is alleged that on Monday, June 1, at about 02:00, the victim was walking from a local tavern in the Old Location to her boyfriend’s residence in the Tokoloho section.
Along the way, she was approached by an unknown man who engaged her in conversation and indicated that he was also travelling to the Tokoloho section.

Police said that, as they continued walking, the suspect allegedly produced a knife and forced the victim into nearby bushes in the Tladi section, where he allegedly raped her before robbing her of R200 in cash.
The suspect was wearing a black jersey, black jeans, and a black-and-white face mask. He is approximately 1.5 metres tall and has a dark complexion. After the incident, the suspect allegedly accompanied the victim until they reached the Tokoloho section.
The victim reported the incident to Tumahole SAPS, and an investigation was initiated.
