Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation Tournament reply for senior teams
Vaal 016 Ladies FC was crowned champions in the women's football category.
SHARPEVILLE.- The Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation Tournament final for senior teams is scheduled to take place at Thabe Stadium on Saturday.
The foundation’s organising committee decided to postpone the seniors’ final between Major 1 FC and Tshepiso because it was dark. The score was 1-all when the tournament organisers and the two teams agreed to play this final at George Thabe Stadium this coming Saturday.

However, the other divisions played their finals.
Sharpeville Sweepers FC was crowned the Relebohile Mofokeng Foundation Champions in the U13 division. This was after they beat Vaal Octopus FC 6-5 on penalties. In another final, Vaal Inter FC was crowned champions in the U15 division. They achieved this feat after they beat PSG Phase 5 FC 5-3. This minute-thriller encounter was also decided on penalties after a 2-2 full-time score.

Vultures FC went home smiling after being crowned the U17 champions. To make it interesting, this game was also decided on penalties after both teams failed to find the back of the net. Vultures FC was eventually crowned the undisputed champion, beating United Colours FC 5-4 in a penalty kick.
In fact, all the finals were decided on penalties, including the master soccer teams’ final. Rumally FC was crowned champions after they beat A-Team Masters FC 5-4 on penalties. Local soccer fans packed the venue to capacity to watch the exciting finals. As if this was not enough, Vaal 016 Ladies FC was crowned champions in the women’s football category, beating National Team Ladies FC 1-0.

This was the only final match that was decided in regular time.
The much-anticipated senior final between Major 1 FC and Tshepiso Barcelona FC lived up to expectations, but play had to be halted before full-time as fading daylight made it unsafe to continue.
Sedibeng Ster Sport will bring all the action of this final.
