SEDIBENG.- Kaizer Chiefs teenage sensation Nale Hlongwane made a lively appearance off the bench as Hope FC secured a vital 1-0 victory against North West University in the Motsepe Foundation Championship at the Fanie du Toit Sports Ground in Potchefstroom on September 5.

The Sebokeng-born forward is currently on loan from the Amakhosi alongside fellow former DStv Diski Challenge teammates Bontle Molefe and Samkelo Zwane.

The trio arrived in Cape Town to help the newly promoted side maintain a strong challenge for the league title.

Zwane netted the decisive goal to keep Hope FC’s impressive run going in the national first division. Hlongwane was introduced later in the match to spearhead the attack and help guide his side safely to the final whistle with all three points secured.

Chiefs arranged the temporary moves for the young talents to gain valuable senior experience after they found regular first-team opportunities hard to come by in Soweto. Hlongwane earned the loan move following an outstanding individual campaign last season, in which he finished as the top goalscorer for the Chiefs reserve side.

Reflecting on his switch to the Mother City, the former U17 international welcomed the move as a chance to prove himself and help fire Hope FC into the Premiership.
