SEBOKENG.- Traditional attire was the order of the day when the Orlando Pirates Greater Sebokeng Supporters Branch concluded Heritage Month in style.

The branch gathered in Zone 10 on Sunday as part of their annual programme, where club supporters dressed in traditional outfits to celebrate their culture. There were also individual prizes for the best-dressed attendees, with Pinky Makele and Zamile Totoba emerging as the winners.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Mzwakhe Zondo explained that this is their annual event to celebrate and take pride in their traditions and culture. He explained that the gathering also helps build unity among supporters within the Greater Sebokeng branch.

According to Zondo, the event went precisely as planned, featuring a variety of activities including traditional music entertainment. Reflecting on the success of the gathering, Zondo said it was a great day spent with other members celebrating Heritage Month.

“You could see that all the members put the effort in by wearing their respective traditional attire. We want to thank all our members for making this day a memorable one, and we are looking forward to next year’s Heritage Day,” he said.

Meanwhile, Zondo told Sedibeng Ster Sport that the branch is very happy with the club’s performance since the start of the season. He pointed out that the club signed quality players at the beginning of the season, leaving him with no doubt that the Pirates will defend their league title by the end of the year.
