MEYERTON. – Reitumetse Mphahlele (15) is preparing to represent South Africa at the upcoming Miss Pre Teenager Universe pageant in Botswana, with the official date to be announced soon.

The young model earned her place on the international stage after being crowned third runner-up in her category during the national competition.

Her proud mother, Shadi Mphahlale, shared the exciting news with Sedibeng Ster, saying that her daughter has the potential to become a major name in the modelling industry. Reflecting on her journey, her mother recalled how Reitumetse developed a passion for modelling at a very young age.

“She really takes care of herself, and she was always in the mirror, but still, I thought like any girl child she was looking after herself, not knowing that she was developing into a model. I must say, I did not see this coming until she started competing in these beauty pageants. I decided to support her because I could see that this is something that she loves.”

Once Reitumetse began entering pageants, her family gave her their full support.

However, the upcoming trip presents a financial challenge. The family must raise an estimated R11 414.16 to cover accommodation, a passport, and travel expenses. With the payment deadline set for November 30, her mother has appealed to generous members of the public to help make her daughter’s dream a reality.
