Sedibeng community slowly comes to voting stations

Voters within boundaries of voting stations will be assisted beyond the closing time.

SEDIBENG. – In ‘dribs and drabs’ the Vaal community has come out to vote!

By 7:00 party representatives had already set up their tents in anticipation of the crowds that would be coming to vote.

It was not to be as the IEC officials at the Vereeniging Civic Hall saw community members coming in ‘dribs an drabs’ to vote, an unusual scene compared to the past elections, national and local.

At Sebokeng’ s Saul Tsotetsi Sports Centre, the situation was also the same by 11:00 with party agents blaming the scorching sun, and feeling hopeful that the ‘crowds’ would appear in the afternoon.

No glitches were reported in any of the local stations by 13:00.

Voting stations opened at 07:00 this morning to welcome voters to cast votes in today’s local government elections and they will remain operational to assist voters until 21:00.

Voters within boundaries of voting stations will be assisted beyond the closing time.
