SEDIBENG.- Jomo Cosmos suffered back-to-back defeats in a short space of time against Mabopane JM FC and La Masia FC.

Firstly, Ezenkosi saw their hopes of moving up on the log standings suffer a big blow when they lost 2-1 to Mabopane JM FC in the midweek ABC Motsepe League match at the Isak Steyl Stadium.

Ironically, this was on their home ground.

This defeat has since pushed Cosmos further into the relegation quagmire, with 26 points from 24 games. Cosmos is now in 14th spot on the log and not far from the relegation axe. At one stage, they looked like a team that had finally found its rhythm, winning some crucial matches. However, their inconsistent form might have something to do with their current position on the log.

As if this was not enough, they suffered a second defeat, 1-0, against La Masia on Saturday. This defeat was a hard pill to swallow for Ezenkosi, who had been outstanding in previous encounters.

Ezenkosi is/was the most exciting team to watch in the ABC Motsepe League, playing some mouth-watering football. However, their main downfall was their inability to convert their chances into goals. To make it worse, Cosmos will play away against JBM FC in another league match on Friday.

Kick-off time is at 15:00.

This is a must-win game for Cosmos if they want to escape the relegation axe at the end of the season. This is not going to be an easy game for them, especially playing away from home. They will be up against the man who has been there and done it before in Jomo Sono. He is no stranger to this situation, and most of the time, he survives the chop. He is the man with many lives.
