SHARPEVILLE.- Former Bafana Bafana dreadlocked midfielder Augustine Makalakalane has hailed his two hometown boys as future prospects for South African.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport watching SAFA Sedibeng Men Regional League at Boipatong Stadium on Sunday, Makalakalane said without any doubt, Relebohile Mofokeng and Tshepang Moremi will book their flights to FIFA World Cup 2026.

The young stars have proven themselves

Makalakalane who was part of Bafana Bafana team that won the African Cup of Nations Tournament in 1996, believe the two youngsters have proven beyond doubt that they deserve to go to world cup.
He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that Mofokeng in particular is the player to be watch in the World Cup for Bafana Bafana.

He said his number ten role suits him perfectly.

Mofokeng was given this number ten role against Panama in the international friendly match and he perfect it like seasonal player. Makalakalane said for the mere fact that Mofokeng started ahead of Themba Zwane says a lot about his homeboy.

He was also full of praise for Moremi.

They will be players to watch

He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that Moremi has an incredible speed and pace that makes him stood above the rest. He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that these two Vaal young stars will be players to watch for Bafana Bafana in the world cup.

“I’m really happy with these two young boys not because they come from Sharpeville but with their impressive performance. I been following them at club level and Bafana Bafana and I must say, South Africa is blessed to have this talent. They are the reason for Orlando Pirates to be challenging the league title. They are marvel to watch and what I like about them they work hard in every game they play,” said Makalakalane.

They should remain level headed

However, Makalakalane said his only advise for these two young super stars is to remain level headed.
He said they will go further with their football careers if they remain humble. Makalakalane was among the people who came to witnessed the top of the table clash between Boipatong FC and Ben 10 FC at the packed Boipatong Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
