SHARPEVILLE._ The Emfuleni Local Football Association’s (ELFA) Super League 2025/2026 season concluded over the weekend, with the stream winners crowned as champions across various venues.

Town Stars FC secured the Boitshepiville Stream title, while Vaal Inter FC was named the Sebokeng Stream winner for the 2025/2026 season. Both teams received trophies and medals following their final matches to celebrate their achievements.

They will compete for a spot.

As a result of their victories, Town Stars FC and Vaal Inter FC will represent Emfuleni in the regional promotion play-offs, where they will compete for a spot in the SAFA Sedibeng Hollywoodbets Men’s Regional League. They will face teams from two other local associations, Lesedi and Midvaal.

The teams will earn promotion.

Following the play-offs, two teams will earn promotion to the Regional League for the 2026/2027 season.

Town Stars FC secured their title with a dominant 7-0 victory over United Colours FC in their final match of the season at the George Thabe Stadium. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport after the game, Zakhele Mtshali said that the team’s objective is to compete in the Regional League next season.

The team is fully prepared to compete.

Although Town Stars FC has previously competed in the play-offs and failed to secure promotion, Mtshali expressed confidence that his side is ready this time around and is looking forward to the challenge. He believes the team is fully prepared to compete in the higher league.

The final whistle sparked emotional celebrations, with players, technical staff, and supporters embracing on the pitch. Mtshali added that the emphatic result against United Colours FC demonstrated just how much the team desired the league title and promotion to the SAFA Sedibeng Hollywoodbets Men’s Regional League.
