Burst water pipe leaves community angry

The pipe burst on Tuesday night, and was only fixed the following morning.

VANDERBIJLPARK. – The community of Vanderbijlpark was left angry after a burst water pipe was not fixed for almost a day on Tuesday.

The pipe burst at corner of Christian De Wet and Koos Delarey Street, in Vanderbijlpark.

Community members said that they had reported the burst to the Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) water utility, Metsi-a Lekoa, they added that they had even sent a video of the burst, but no response was forthcoming.

The remaining question on their lips was who was going to pay for the precious commodity?
