EVATON.- Lerato Vanessa Molikeng, aka Alkebulan, is a rising reggae and dancehall artist.
Raised within the Christian faith, Alkebulan’s journey began singing in a church choir at the Zion Christian Church (ZCC).
“When I was 17, before falling in love with reggae, I was drawn to Erykah Badu’s African-reggae inspired style. That sparked my interest towards the reggae culture, and I started vibing to the legendary Bob Marley, Burning Spear, and Luttan Fyah, just to name a few.”

She then joined Gangalee Production in 2023, a record label founded by Bright Ndebele in Orange Farm.
Alkebulan has done several collaborations.
Her debut-album titled SALVATION was released on January 3 and reflects on self-discovery through Rastafarian beliefs.
“That one advocates black excellence. Blending conscious, vibrant reggae, dancehall, and Afro.”
The album incorporates songs like Mary jane (ft Empress Lily & Gangalee), Rastafari & Moratuwa (ft Luttan Ptyza).
