WATCH: Woman (87) robbed by gang on Sea Park farm

The men forcefully locked her in the bathroom while they ransacked the farm house.

An 87-year old woman was robbed of a number of household appliances at her home on a farm in Sea Park on Wednesday morning (December 7).

An impressive response by Southport police members, as well as SAPS Port Shepstone K9, resulted in property being recovered in the bush across the highway.

However, a shotgun was not recovered.

Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said that the woman said she saw at least four or five unknown men on the property, who forced the security gate open.

“They forcefully locked her in the bathroom while they ransacked the house for valuable items,” he explained.

When she heard the group leaving the farm, she sought help.

Mpinge said the woman sustained injuries to her legs and arms during the robbery.

Rudi Prinsloo from MI7 Ambulance Service confirmed that they also attended.
