Africa theme for annual dance show
BETWEEN the Mountains of the Dragon and the warm Indian Ocean you will find the land of the Zulu, a land with rolling hills, whispering forests and sun baked savannas.
It is here, where everything dances – from the warrior ant to the tusked bull elephant – that is the setting for the latest offering from the Elvira Venter School of Dance and the Port Shepstone Rotarians.
It is said that when you have caught the rhythm of Africa, you can speak the hidden language of the soul, where life is the dancer and you are the dance. This is what the cast of dancers, actors and comedians will prove to the audience when they present ‘Born in the RSA’.
This lively offering will be staged at Port Shepstone Civic Centre on Thursday and Friday, November 27 and 28, at 7pm and Saturday, November 29, at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets, at R60, are available from Aquarius Pharmacy, Ramsgate Stationers and at the door.
