Sixty-three children, aged between six and 18, attended the Shree Raam Narayan Temple Society’s Hindu Youth Camp in Marburg recently.

The youth were exposed to the fundamental teachings of Hinduism through fun and games, storytelling, cultural quizzes, yoga, self-defence and shloka (verse) chanting.

For their efforts, the youngsters received T-shirts and easy-to-read books on hawan and mantras for the benefit of each family.

They were also provided with juice/fruit breaks, a scrumptious packed lunch, takeaway lunchbox/bottle gift packs with a certificate of completion.

“Congratulations and sincere appreciation to the team for organising such a wonderful and successful camp. The day was a resounding success and enjoyed by all the youth, volunteers and camp leaders. The dedication, commitment and teamwork displayed by the organising team were commendable. The joy and smiles on the faces of the participants were a testament to the love, effort and passion that went into making this day memorable,” said Shamin Maharaj of the Shree Raam Narayan Temple Society.
