Andhras to hold AGM

The Port Shepstone and District Andhra Sabha, which was established in 1955 and is affiliated to the Andhra Maha Sabha of South Africa, will host its 63rd annual general meeting at the Andhra Sabha Hall next Wednesday, June 20 at 6.30pm. Chairman of the Umbango Siva Soobramoniar Temple, Jason Govender, will be the guest of honour.

Mr Govender, who is actively involved in local youth development through his leadership in numerous sporting organisations, is also a highly respected senior teacher at RA Engar Primary School.

He is involved in the Department of Sports and Recreation, Port Shepstone Volleyball Association, Legends Sports and Social Club, Schools’ Volleyball Committee and has helped strengthen the capacity of many local organisations in developing local sporting talent.

The officials and members of the Port Shepstone and District Andhra Sabha extend an invitation to all religious and cultural organisations, as well as members of the public to attend the AGM.
