Another interesting talk at Rotary breakfast

A SANRAL representative will be the guest speaker at a breakfast hosted by the Rotary Satellite Club of Hibiscus Coast at the Southbroom Golf Club on Wednesday, March 4 at 7am. The subject will be  the proposed R61 upgrade.

Sanral will give a presentation which will cover some of the details of the proposed toll road. This road will affect the lives of many people and businesses operating on the South Coast. It should be most informative.

At a recent consultative workshop held at the Hibiscus Coast Municipality’s council chambers, Sanral addressed business owners in the main. This is an opportunity for local residents to find out more.

The Rotary Satellite Club has been hosting some interesting talks of late.

Most recently, the Rotary Satellite Club held a breakfast at the Southbroom Golf Club where the well known farmer, horticulturist and raconteur, Terry Mitchell, addressed an audience on the unusual subject of ‘The Journey of Jubaeopisis Caffra’.

In a very entertaining style he disclosed how the seeds of a palm tree which originated on the banks of the Msikaba & Mtentu Rivers in the Mkambati Nature Reserve in Pondoland travelled in South Africa and then around the world, especially in the USA.
